Dolmabahçe Palace: The Dolmabahçe Palace, a blend of various European architectural styles, was built between 1843 – 1856 by Karabet Balyan, the court architect of Sultan Abdulmecid. The three –storied palace built on a symmetrical plan has 285 rooms and 43 halls. The palace has survived intact with its original decorations, furniture and the silk carpets and curtains. Its surpasses all other palaces in the world in wealth and magnificence.
Suleymaniye Mosque: Visit The Süleymaniye Mosque was built on the order of Sultan Suleyman (Süleyman the Magnificent) “was fortunate to be able to draw on the talents of the architectural genius of Sinan Pasha”. Drive back to the port through Golden Horn.
Hippodrome: where used to take place for chariot races and the Byzantine riots during Roman & Byzantine period.
Basilica Cistern: The largest covered water reservoir in Istanbul, built by Justinian I.
Grand Bazaar: In operation since the 14th century, the Grand Bazaar is one of the world’s largest covered markets, with 58 streets and over 4,000 shops. The bazaar is specially known for its jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and carpets.
