I have had 2 days to spare and asked Hasan Birdal of Turkland Tours to get me a personal guide because I cannot walk fast but desperately wanted to see as much as I could. A charming young lady, Melek escorted me looking after me with as much care as if I were her grandmother . She told me the history of the Hippodrome, guided me through the beautiful Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. All the time giving me details of the past. As an antophogist I was interested in her life. We had lunch with Hasan and took the afternoon Bosphorus boat tour pase so many beautiful homes and palaces. The second day we explored Tophapi Palace and the Archaeology Museum. I could gave spent days there. I was impressed how the people of Turkey respect their history and past. I must say a special thanks to the taxi driver who took me to the airport. He left his van, took me in, found someone who showed where the handicapped section was and deposited me and my suitcase apologizing for not staying longer. First class. I hope to come back again. I would add I am 82 and traveling on my own.
I found Turkland Tours while seeking a day tour of Istanbul. After
exchanging e-mail messages with Ibrahim Basyesil explaining my fianceand I would be in Istanbul for around two weeks but wanted to see moreof Turkey, Ibrahim arranged a trip and tours that exceeded myexpectations. We flew to Cappadocia for three days (one day off) andthen to Ephesus - Pamukkale - Pergamon.. Our tour guides at eachlocation were knowledgeable, helpful and took good care of us. Wereceived a detailed itinerary, including information about our domesticflights, airport and tour transportation and booked us in very nicehotels at each location.
Everything went smoothly and Ibrahim even called on our last day to make sure we happy with his services. You know this personal touch makes you feel that you are in good hands.
In our last day we asked Ibrahim to take us a good leather shop and webought nice jackets without any pressure to buy.
I highly recommend this travel company for all your travel in Turkey.
My partner and I were totally saisfied with Turkland Tours for our 2 full days of private touring in Istanbul. Both Ozden on Day 1 and Essin on Day 2 were full of information on the history as well as the current situation in Turkey. Not only did we do the standard sights, but we also did a cruise up the Bosphorous to a small town where we had an amazing fresh fish lunch. There is so much to see in Istanbul...the only way to do it is privately and with Turkland!
This small travel agency is the one to book with when traveling in Turkey. They are professionals who know the lay of the land. They helped us with all our arrangements in Istanbul and Cappadocia. They had good suggestions regarding what to see and how how to get the most out of the time spent there. All arrangements went exactly as planned. Hotels were great in terms of location and service. In addition to the major sites, you will also explore other parts of Istanbul to get a truer feel for the city.
Because they are a small agency, they can give personalized service. All our arrangements were made through email. They were prompt and very helpful in responding to all our inquiries. I would highly recommend them to help you make the most of your visit to Turkey.
Me and my boyfriend had a private day tour of Istanbul with Turkland
Tours and that was the best tour of our entire trip. Our guide Essin met us at our hotel right on time took us to old city first. She explained
us all details of Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and blue mosque. She
was very fluent in English and fun loving guide. We never wait on the lines and saved lots of time thanks to our professionally licensed
guide. In the afternoon we had half day tour of taste tour. We tried 8
dishes and walker around backstreets it was all amazing ! Loved Turkish cuisine.
My husband and I used Turkland Tours for our trip to Turkey in October and we could not have been more pleased with the services. Ibrahim at Turkland Tours arranged all our travel from Istanbul to Cappadocia to Ephesus and back to Istanbul. Each city provided us with a completely different experience. In Istanbul, we spent two days touring with Elgiz, a fabulous tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history of the Old City. In Cappadocia, Ibrahim arranged for us go hot-air ballooning over lunar-like landscapes at sunrise (an experience not to be missed). He also arranged tours of the area which included visits to spectacular geological formations, ancient cave houses, churches and monasteries that are carved from volcanic deposits, and even an underground city. At Ephesus, we visited extraordinary Roman ruins in the company of yet another extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly charming tour guide (whose name, unfortunately I cannot remember).
Ibrahim provided us with a detailed itinerary, including information about our domestic flights, airport and tour transportation. He made all the arrangements. Except for two days off that we had purposefully built into our trip to Turkey, we really didn’t have to do anything – Ibrahim had arranged everything for us. Everything went exactly as planned. We had transportation to and from the airport and to various sites in Cappadocia and Ephesus; tours in every city. Everyone was always on time, or even a little early!
We had a lot of personalized attention and not just in terms of the tours. But also, Ibrahim talked to us at each stop in our trip to be sure we were not having any problems and also met us on our last day to make sure we happy with his services. He doesn’t need to be worried about that. My husband and I had and extraordinarily wonderful vacation. If we go back to Turkey, we for sure will make arrangements through Turkland Tours.
